As per available information, the suspect, Collins, had invited the deceased, a 300-level Biochemistry student from the same university to his residence prior to the incident taking place.
Though the exact details of the incident remain unclear, it is reported that security authorities arrested the suspect following the alarm raised by residents.
As of now, the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, has not made any comments regarding the incident.
It is worth noting that the crime was uncovered days after the missing person alert of Justina Tiffany Otuene for circulated on the internet.
